THE VISION

PROJECT NO. 6371

Project No. 6371 was an evolution of our client's previous home. Spanning 7,100 sqft, this home's design was conceived out of the love of bringing the outdoors in. With a large great room, 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, a spa / gym, a movie theater, and a large outdoor kitchen, this home is perfect for entertaining.
Embodying the love for the resort lifestyle, especially that of Indonesia and Bali, this home reflects the clients love for Tropical Modern Architecture. "Pods" were created to house the separate functions within the home and connected by large floor to ceiling glass hallways to experience the gardens.
Featuring 10' tall ceilings throughout, 18' ceilings in the great room, sleek modern lighting, durable materials, and a warm material palette, this home oozes with warm tropical modern vibes. Natural coral stone and green Balinesian tiles are just a few materials used to complete the look and feel of this home.
THE VISION

PROJECT NO. 4315

Project No. 4315 was designed for a young family.  Encompassing 3,700 sqft, this home was situated on a smaller 10,000 sqft lot and combined tropical modern architecture with some traditional details. A central great room, 4 bedrooms, a music studio, and an open kitchen are a few highlights of this home.
Coming from a more traditional home, the design vision was to create a more modern tropical home but still have a warm and inviting atmosphere. The clients love to entertain, so a large great room which opened up to the rear terrace and pool was a high priority.
Modern details such as floating ceilings, LED lighting throughout, Italian cabinetry, and modern flush to casing interior doors were some of the interior details used. As this family has children, porcelain flooring and durable materials throughout were of great importance to limit maintenance.
THE VISION

PROJECT NO. 810

Project No. 810 was envisioned to be a modern mountain retreat for our clients who loved the outdoors, especially skiing and snowboarding. A home that would change the landscape of the mountain village in Telluride, Colorado. With dramatic roof pitches, and local materials, this home stands out among the rest.
Driven by the beautiful mountain views, the design of this home was centered around creating spectacular views from each space within the home. A proper ski home, features like an outdoor hot tub and and fire pit were strategically placed to take in all of the great outdoor views.
Local materials were used for the majority of the exterior of the home so as to allow the home to blend in with the local vernacular while pushing the boundaries of design within the village. Large glass walls and steep roof pitches mimic the mountains seen around the home giving it a presence unmatched by nearby homes.

BIOGRAPHY.

Thomas Diverio graduated from one of the top architectural programs in the nation; the University of Miami School of Architecture. Having such a strong architectural background has allowed him to have a unique perspective when it comes to designing interiors. There is an art to understanding the architecture of a home and being able to convey these elements into the character and design of the interiors. A home must consist of an interior and exterior that are integrated and create a cohesive design that tells a story which is not only timeless, but elegant and functional.

With over 20 years of experience in the Architectural Design industry, Thomas has become an accomplished designer in the high-end residential community. By working for some of South Florida’s top firms, he has gained a vast amount of experience in everything from landscape design, historical preservation, high-end luxury residential and hospitality design. His strengths however lie in the creative design phase where he is able to use his exceptional vision and design talents to meticulously design cutting edge one of a kind projects that truly set themselves apart.

As Principal at Diverio, Tom creates Architecture driven by the lifestyles of our clients. Designed from the inside out, our homes are tailored to the way our clients live.
